NETWORKS

IN ADDITION TO OUR NETWORKS IN PROJECT COUNTRIES, WE HAVE AN EXTENSIVE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL NETWORK. WE WORK CLOSELY WITH OTHER ACTORS TO MULTIPLY OUR IMPACT.

Our partners include: Finnish NGOs and research institutions or international organizations: Luke , SYKE , IIED , IUCN,  and VITRI. The production of high-quality research is an important point of this cooperation.

We are part of AgriCord, an international Alliance of 13 Agri-Agencies from Europe, North-America, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

FFD coordinates the relationship between AgriCord, FAO- Forest and Farm Facility and the World Agriculture Watch. Our role is to strengthen the coordination between FAO actors and supporting joint funding, for example, through climate action.

The International Family Forest Facility Alliance is an FFD partner in support of forest producer organizations. FFD is looking for opportunities to organize joint events or initiatives with IFFA.

WE ACHIEVE OUR GOALS BY connecting FARMERS AND FOREST OWNERS with LONG-LASTING PARTNERSHIPS, AND BY NETWORKING AND COOPERATING WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS.

FArmers’ Organizations

Farmers’ Organizations (FOs) are an important part of civil society in FFD’s project countries. They promote and enable dialogue and consultations, overcome social dilemmas, stimulate joint bargaining or contracting and joint policy development.

EXPERT ORGANIZATIONS (TWINNING)

Expert sponsors are the backbone of FFD projects. Our 13 Finnish producer-, agricultural- and forester advisors provide peer support and advice to producer organizations in developing countries and share their expertise. Such an activity is called a farmer to farmer approach.
